Hiya, Harriette!
Welcome back to planDisney. The wait is almost over –– your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner! Before you know it, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A, Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar in hand, enjoying
The World's Most Magical Celebration. I can't wait for you to experience all the EARidescent excitement! During your stay, you won't want to miss Magic Kingdom Park's dazzling new nighttime spectacular,
Disney Enchantment –– complete with incredible lighting projections and stunning fireworks (not to mention music that makes me cry each time I see it). Be sure to check it out during your visit!
I'm excited to hear you'll be trying out the all-new
Individual Lighting Lane access during your upcoming stay. My family and I loved using this service during our recent trip to scurry through the line for high-demand rides, like
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure –– it's a great way to experience the most popular attractions and make the most of your time in the theme parks. If you're a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest, you'll be able to purchase up to two Individual Lightning Lane selections each day using the
My Disney Experience mobile app, beginning at 7:00 AM (non-Resort Guests will need to wait until the park opens to make their selections). Individual Lightning Lanes allow you to select an available arrival window, so you can choose to schedule your selection for later in the day if that works best for you. I recommend making Individual Lightning Lane selections early (and right at 7:00 AM, if possible), because time-slots can fill up
very quickly, especially for new attractions and experiences. And remember that you
do not need to purchase the Genie+ service to book Individual Lightning Lane access –– Individual Lightning lanes are available for all Guests as a standalone purchase option.
In the past, Walt Disney World has used a virtual queue system for new rides, like
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, that allowed Guests to join the queue at 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM, but virtual queues are not currently being used for any attractions. Instead, all attractions offer a traditional standby line that you can choose to join at any time, in addition to Lightning Lane access.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Harriette! If you think of other planning questions before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, please feel free to stop back by –– we're always happy to help!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
