Hi there, Joanne!
I’m always looking for ways to save money when visiting the Disneyland Resort. After all, the more we save each time, the sooner we can visit again! That’s a great idea to make use of those funds you already have on hand. I’ve got a few ideas that may be worth trying.
When purchasing Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets online, the checkout process allows for multiple payment types. But each type is usually only allowed once per transaction. If the funds available on your Visa debit gift cards are appropriately aligned with the ticket prices in different quantities, you could try breaking up your ticket purchase into different transactions. If you were to buy tickets separately, they would all still be linked to your Disneyland Resort account. Although
theme park reservations made during the different transactions would each have separate confirmation numbers, you would still see all of your park reservations and tickets show up on the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page and in the “Future Plans” and “Tickets and Passes” screens of the
Disneyland mobile app.
Another approach that I frequently use is to purchase Disney Gift Cards. For example, multiple
eGifts purchased from shopDisney with your Visa debit gift cards can be combined on the
Disney Gift Card website. Then use a combined gift card to purchase tickets on the Disneyland Resort website or within the Disneyland mobile app.
Tony’s Tip: You will also be able to use your Visa debit gift cards in virtually all locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. From
shopping to
dining to
balloons, you’ll find that payment services for most major credit cards are accepted. Other ways you may find a use for your cards include purchasing access to the
Disney Genie+ service or placing
mobile food and beverage orders, both of which can be done directly in the Disneyland app.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Joanne!
