I want to purchase tickets today, but won't be going until January 2024. Can I bypass the reservation window, since it's not available that far out or do I pick any date, and not be held to use it on that date (can use later)?

    Hi Michelle, welcome to planDisney!

I love that you're planning so far in advance! I'm a planner too, so I completely understand!

Theme park reservations can typically be booked up to 120 days in advance. So if you are wanting to visit the Disneyland Resort in January 2024, your booking window will open up in September 2023. You can certainly purchase your tickets in advance, pick any reservation date, and change them later on. If you purchase your tickets from the Disneyland Resort website, one-day tickets are valid through December 30, 2024, and multi-day tickets are valid through January 12, 2025, or within 13 days of first use, whichever occurs first. So you'll have plenty of time to use them!

OH! And when you purchase your tickets, you'll be given the option to add the Disney Genie+ Service add-on to your tickets. I highly recommend this as Genie+ allows you to access the Lightning Lane entrances for certain attractions instead of having to wait in the standby lines. And as a great bonus, you get unlimited Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads with the purchase of Genie+!

    I hope this helps!

    See ya real soon!
