Hi Pamela, welcome to planDisney!
I think it's
Tiggerific that you'll be hopping "across the pond" next spring and spending some time at Walt Disney World Resort. You can learn a lot of things from the flowers at the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. The topiary displays are amazing works of heart.
As you discovered, cherished UK-based Guests can currently purchase 7 or 14-day tickets via the
Walt Disney Travel Company. Other ticket lengths can be purchased online at
Disneyworld.disney.go.com as soon as you arrive in the United States. They can also be purchased in-person at the parks, but that's a riskier option considering theme park reservations are also required for park entry. April is a very busy month at the parks due to families on spring break, and theme park reservations started to fill up about one month in advance this past spring.
Another option is for US-based family or friends to purchase your theme park tickets and
link them to your My Disney Experience account. For this to work, you must be connected as
Family and Friends in My Disney Experience.
I realize this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, Pamela, but I hope it provides a path forward that leads to Cinderella Castle. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
