Do you have to purchase tickets and parking online and then make a reservation for the day you want online too?

Hi there, Tracy. Welcome to planDisney.

Tracy, I hope you are so excited about planning a vacation to Walt Disney World. It really is the most magical place on earth and I know that you'll make memories that will last a lifetime while you are there.

You can absolutely purchase Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets online. It's a simple process that is pretty automated through the website. You'll select your theme park ticket choice between a standard park ticket where you can visit one park per day or you can upgrade to a park hopper ticket that allows you to enter multiple theme parks in one day. Then, you'll choose the number of days you need a ticket for and the date on the calendar that you'd like to first start using your tickets. After that, you can add them to the cart and check out online. Then, you'll need to add your tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account. Once those are linked, you can then go ahead and make your park pass reservations. This process is also very simple. You'll head to the park pass reservation website and log in. Then, you'll select the people you want to make park pass reservations for, a date on the calendar and then the theme park. If all goes well you'll be taken to a confirmation page and then have the option to make another selection for a different day. Once that is all done, you'll be able to see all of your park pass reservations under the "My Plans" section of your MyDisneyExperience account.

As for parking, Tracy, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel then you'll receive complimentary theme park parking at all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. If you are staying at an off-property hotel then you'll need to pay a daily rate to park at the theme parks. This, however, can't be done online. You'll pay for parking each day when you arrive at the theme park you are visiting.

I hope this helps get the ball rolling, Tracy. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
