    i am about to purchase tickets. is there an option to add genie plus before paying?

    Hello there, David, and welcome to planDisney! 

    Thanks for bringing your question to us and I'm so excited that you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth scheduled for later this year. With your ticket purchase, you'll be "Almost There" to experience the Magic of the Disneyland Resort!

    You may absolutely add Genie+ to your tickets prior to purchasing them! The option is buried a few screens in, so let's go over your choices:

    • From the Tickets screen, select the type of ticket you would like, then select the number of days you would like to visit and the number of tickets you would like to purchase.
    • Once selected, you will be given the option to choose between a Park Hopper and a One Park per Day ticket. 
    • On the next screen, select the days for which you would like reservations and select your starting Park.
    • Once you hit Continue, you will then be given the choice to add Genie+ to the length of your ticket. Completing the transaction should be pretty straightforward after that.

    If you do not purchase Genie+ at this time, you will be unable to purchase again until you have scanned your ticket and entered the Park on the day of your visit. If experiencing attractions is your primary focus, purchasing Genie+ is a must! It will save you a lot of time from waiting in standby queues. 

    There's so much to look forward to this year at the Disneyland Resort! From the Disney100 Celebration to the re-opening of Mickey's Toontown and the premiere of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, you'll find plenty to do around both Parks.
