Hi, Anish! Welcome to planDisney!
I love your idea to kick off the summer with a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Since we're only a few weeks away, it's definitely time to get your plans together. I'm happy to help you do a little Disney dreaming!
Before we get to purchasing tickets, let's talk for a moment about the
Disney Park Pass system and why it's so important in your planning process. As Walt Disney World continues its
phased reopening procedures, capacity in the theme parks is still limited for now. With that in mind, Disney implemented a reservation system to help manage the number of Guests in the parks. Now that more people are beginning to travel again, reservations have been going quickly. That's why you may be having some trouble finding reservations for the
Magic Kingdom Park. If you take a peek at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, you can see that the Magic Kingdom doesn't currently have openings on any of your dates.
But we're not giving up yet, Anish! The good news is that there are other parks available on the dates you want to visit, so you can still go to the Magic Kingdom if you add the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets. Just go to the
Tickets page on the Walt Disney World website and select "Standard Theme Park Tickets." On the next page, you'll choose the number of days, then click on the Park Hopper Option just below that to add it to your tickets. Then scroll down to the calendar and select your start date. Scroll down again and select the number of tickets you need, and hit "Continue" to complete your purchase.
After you've bought your tickets, head right over to the Disney Park Pass page and make your theme park reservations for each day. Just reserve any park that's available for now. On the day of your visit, you must go to the park where you have a reservation first, and then you can hop to a second (or third, or fourth) theme park when park hopping hours open after 2 p.m. To verify that park hopping will be allowed that day, you can check your
My Disney Experience app for park hopping hours for each park, or call (407) 560-5000 for a recorded message that will confirm that hopping will be open.
While park hopping is one way you can visit the Magic Kingdom, I'd also keep an eye on the calendar to see if any additional spots open up for it in the meantime. You never know when another Guest may have a change of plans!
I hope this helps you plan a magical start to your summer, Anish. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
