Hello, if I purchase tickets from the local military base for my son who is 30. Since he is 30, he no longer has a dependent military id. Do I have to go there with him to get in the park or is there another option?

    James:

The current Military Promotion Ticket that Disney is offering to service members and their families must be "activated" by either the service member or the spouse of the eligible service member. Even if your son had an active dependent military i.d., you would have to be with him the first time he used the promotional ticket. These tickets must be activated after purchase at a theme park ticket window where you'll be asked a series of questions verifying your military status. Additionally, you will need to purchase and activate a ticket for yourself. I would suggest reading all of the fine print associated with the tickets before purchasing.

If you have additional questions about the Military Promotion Ticket, feel free to come back and ask me. My husband is in the Air Guard, and we have enjoyed using this ticket promotion for the past several years.

    Here's to a magical time!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
