Hi, Juanita! Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Floridian!
It sounds like you might be planning a spur-of-the-moment visit to Walt Disney World! Isn't it great to live so close that you can hop over just about anytime? While you can still purchase tickets at the front entrance to the theme parks, I recommend you go ahead and
buy them in advance online. The reason for that suggestion will actually answer your next question, too! All Guests must now make a
Disney Park Pass reservation before entering the theme parks. Disney does limit the number of reservations available each day, so it's possible that you could arrive at a park to buy a ticket only to find that there are no reservations left. Ordering your tickets online allows you to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure the park you want to visit has openings, and to make your reservations before you go.
Juanita, have you heard about the new
Florida Resident Summer Fun Tickets? You can get two, three, or four days in the theme parks at a great rate that will let you have Disney magic all summer long! And you don't have to use the days consecutively, so you can spend a day in the parks now and save the rest for later. How cool is that? Just keep in mind that you'll still need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the theme parks, and that you'll need to
provide proof of your Florida residency before you can use the tickets.
I hope this helps you have a summer of fun at Walt Disney World, Juanita. Thank you so much for stopping by, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
