Hey there, Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for swinging by with your questions!
While you can purchase
tickets at the gate,
park reservations are also required for entry and subject to availability. Especially during the busier summer months, reservations do book up quickly, so I don’t recommend waiting until arrival to get your tickets and reservations secured.
On the
Disneyland website, you can go to Parks & Tickets, Theme Park Tickets, and there you’ll designate the number of tickets, number of days, ticket type and be taken to the park reservation calendar to select dates. This process will secure both your tickets and reservations. If you don’t see your dates available right away, keep checking, especially as the date approaches, as sometimes Guests change plans and must cancel their reservations to make new ones. I hope you’re able to grab reservations for the dates you’re looking for!
A negative COVID-19 test is not required to enter Disneyland Resort. While the guidance continues to evolve, the
latest guidance on the Disneyland website says “The State of California strongly recommends that all Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the Disneyland Resort. It is strongly recommended that Guests wear face coverings when indoors and in enclosed transportation. Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and older), regardless of vaccination status, in certain indoor health settings, such as in First Aid. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas.”
I would recommend visiting the
Experience Updates page prior to your arrival to familiarize yourself, so you can be prepared.
I hope this is helpful, Rebecca! Wishing you a magical visit – have a great time!
