Can I still purchase tickets at the gate?

    Hi there, Diana!

Thanks for stopping by the planDisney Panel. It’s an honor to help you prepare to visit The Happiest Place on Earth!

Yes, tickets may still be purchased in person at the Disneyland Resort main entrance ticket booths. However, unless you need to purchase tickets using cash, multiple Disney Gift Cards, or a combination of different payment types, I highly recommend purchasing a ticket ahead of time in the Disneyland mobile app or online. That is because when you purchase tickets in person, you will still need to log on to the Disneyland Resort website to book a theme park reservation to use the ticket. The cool thing about purchasing online or in the app is that the park reservation step is done automatically during the ticket purchase process.

There are a limited number of reservations available each day. So it is usually best to purchase tickets and book park reservations as early as possible. If you find that park reservations are not available for a given date you wish to visit, you may keep checking the theme park reservation availability calendar. When other Guests change their plans and cancel existing park reservations, you may find those reservations open up for you to book! If you are planning to stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, be sure to book from among the theme park reservations exclusively for hotel Guests. Visit the "My Hotel Reservations" page to tap into that pool of reservations.

Tony’s Tip: Note that the theme park reservation availability calendar has two separate pools of reservations for the two ticket types: one park per day and Park Hopper. Changing your ticket type selection can sometimes reveal different options for reservations. Also, Park Hopper tickets need only be linked to a reservation for one park or the other. Guests with Park Hopper tickets may use the hopper privilege after 1:00 PM and enjoy hopping to either park for the remainder of each park’s operating hours, subject to availability.

I hope you have a magical time, Diana!
