Hi Amy! Thank you so much for bringing your question to
planDisney. It's completely normal for plans to shift as your trip gets closer. Families grow, friends decide to join in, or someone suddenly realizes they just can't miss out on the magic. The wonderful news is that you absolutely can add another person to your plans, and you have a couple of options depending on what you originally booked.
If you're working with a full
Walt Disney World vacation package, meaning your hotel stay and tickets were bundled together, you can add an additional Guest directly through your My Disney Experience account. Just head to the
Walt Disney World website, hover over the My Disney Experience tab, and select “
My Plans.” Find your resort reservation, click “Modify Reservation,” and you should see the option to adjust the number of Guests. Once you add the extra person, the package will update to reflect the new total. Just keep in mind that the price will increase, since the added Guest will need to be included in the hotel stay, tickets, and Dining Plan if you selected one.
If, on the other hand, you only want to purchase theme park tickets and not add this person to your existing package, you can absolutely do that separately.
Single tickets can be purchased online at any time or even in person once you arrive. This is especially convenient if your plans are still taking shape.
One important detail to note is that vacation package modifications, including changes to the number of Guests, must be made at least 30 days before your check-in date. After that window closes, adjustments can be more limited, so I always recommend making changes sooner rather than later.
Amy, no matter which path you take, it's completely possible to include that extra person in the fun. I hope your whole group has the most magical time making memories together at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We're always available and more than happy to help here at planDisney!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
