Hello Nicole, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
In theory, yes - you can purchase theme park tickets the day you wish to visit a Walt Disney World theme park as long as there is availability. To manage theme park attendance, the Walt Disney World Resort implemented a
Disney Park Pass Reservation System. To enter a theme park, all Guests ages 3 and older must have both a theme park reservation and a valid admission ticket. (Please note beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets.)
I recommend checking for
Theme Park Reservation Availability prior to purchasing tickets. If the theme park has availability, you can purchase the tickets online and then immediately make a theme park reservation.
If you need to purchase tickets at the gate, please be sure to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability prior to commuting to Walt Disney World to ensure the theme park is not at capacity.
I hope you enjoy your Walt Disney World visit!
Diane
