Hi there, Melinda! I'm so glad you came to see us at planDisney, and I'm happy to help you with this question!
There's just nothing like the holidays at
Walt Disney World Resort! Everything truly does seem extra magical. And you'll be spending it with your adult children? That brings tears to my eyes! I know what a gift that is! Melinda, I'm happy to tell you that you certainly can purchase tickets to
Disney Jollywood Nights as a surprise!
When buying the tickets on the Walt Disney World website, you'll choose the quantity of tickets and the date, then at checkout you'll enter the name of each recipient. There is an option just above the guests' names to indicate that these will be gifts. Check that box, and Disney will email the bar codes to you so the tickets remain a surprise. You will still be required to enter their names, but no contact information, so they will not be notified. Don't wait until the last minute, though, because the gift receipts can sometimes take 24-48 hours to arrive in your inbox. You will need those, and your kids will need valid IDs, to enter the special event. These events are pretty popular, as well, so don't delay too long once the tickets go on sale.
One of my favorite Christmas experiences is the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and it's included with your park admission! I love strolling through World Showcase (hot chocolate in hand, of course) and learning about the traditions of various countries as I visit each pavilion. There's also a
Holiday Cookie Stroll and a moving
Candlelight Processional.
Disney Parks Blog has helpful information about all the yuletide offerings you can expect around the theme parks and resorts.
We can't go back to when our grown kids were little, but visiting Walt Disney World with them is a close second. What a magical vacation this is going to be, Melinda, so enjoy every moment! Have so much fun planning, and if you have any more questions, please
let us know. We're here to help!
