If I purchase tickets from AARP & link them to my Walt Disney experience app. If something happens & need to change dates of the tickets. Would I be able to do that thru My Walt Disney experience app?

Hi there, Ron! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! It sounds like you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort this summer. That's so exciting! I would love to help you with this question!

Some organizations offer discounts on Disney theme park tickets through third-party vendors. AARP is one of those organizations. While I am not familiar with these specific tickets, I suspect they are similar to others like them. You should be able to choose the start date of your theme park tickets when linking them to your My Disney Experience account. If your plans change, and you decide to switch your dates, you can do that as long as there is availability. You must initiate this process before the initial start date originally chosen for your theme park tickets, and if the new start date includes a price increase, you will be required to pay the difference.

To change the start date on your tickets, log in to your account on the Walt Disney World website or app, choose "My Plans and Tickets," and scroll down to "Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker." Find your tickets and select "Change Tickets." If you have any difficulty, you can call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations number here

It's no secret that it can get pretty warm in central Florida, particularly during the summer months, so I'd like to make a recommendation. Consider taking a break in the afternoons. You could go back to your resort hotel for a swim or even a nap, but if you want to stay in the parks, you can still find respite from the heat by stopping in a quick-service restaurant with plenty of indoor seating. In Magic Kingdom Park, I'd suggest Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square. It has a quiet, spacious upstairs where you can get a cold drink and relax for a bit. I love their Lobster Roll. This is also a great time to catch The Hall of Presidents, a sometimes-overlooked attraction that is worth your time in my opinion, and it offers nearly 25 minutes off your feet in a dark, air-conditioned theater. It's a win-win!

In EPCOT, head to the American Pavilion in World Showcase when your energy begins to run low. You can order an icy beverage and tasty snack or lunch at the Regal Eagle Smokehouse. Afterwards, head next door to The American Adventure for an entertaining and inspirational production on the history of our nation that will leave you feeling both recharged and patriotic!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation, Ron. There truly is nothing like being in The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any more questions, we're always here for you at planDisney!
