Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen!
One thing that we super planners need in our bag of tricks is a lot of flexibility. Luckily, when planning a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, there’s a lot of wiggle room. Of course, once you get closer to your dates, you’ll want to consider getting
Lightning Lane passes or book an advanced dining reservation or two. And even those are flexible, too! Let’s get into what you need to know about modifying your theme park tickets.
Both single- and multi-day theme park tickets can be modified in your My Disney Experience account. Not only can you modify dates, but you can modify which theme park it’s linked to for a particular day. Depending on your theme park ticket type, the expiration dates vary. However, as long as you haven’t fully used your active ticket, you can modify it up to the day of.
To change your selected dates, do the following: Log in to your
My Disney Experience account online and select "Theme Park Reservations." Select "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations," and then select "Modify Reservation." If the dates or theme park that you want aren’t available, keep checking until something opens up and fits into your plan.
AN EXTRA GEM: Depending on your new date selection, you may have to pay a difference in price because the
theme park tickets are date-dependent. Also, you can 100 percent buy your theme park tickets in-person on the day-of. However, if you visit on a particularly busy day, you run the risk of a theme park being at capacity or has no open theme park reservations.
I hope that this helps, Kathleen. If you have any other questions about your vacation,
give us a holler here at planDisney. I’m all ears!
Magic always,
LeAndra
