Purchase a ticket as a surprise for a family member, unfortunately they will not be in the state when we booked our trip for. Can we get a refund for the ticket?

    Hi Darla,

Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney!

That is some very special pixie dust you were wanting to sprinkle around! Enjoying "The Happiest Place on Earth" with family is always wonderful, and to do so as a surprise is even more wonderful.

While the theme park tickets for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are nonrefundable, you might have some helpful options.

One option is to look into the expiration date for the ticket so you know when it can be used for theme park admission. Another option to explore is that it might be possible for you to apply the money you paid for the ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket to visit the theme parks at a future date.

You might want to reach out to the Disneyland Resort tickets service team at (714) 781-4636. You can also reach out to the Disneyland Resort cast members through the "Chat with Us" feature in the Disneyland Resort mobile app.

Darla, here's wishing you all the fun when you visit Disneyland Resort.

And here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
