Hi Addison!
Welcome to the planDisney! I am so happy to know that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.
I chatted with a Cast Member to double-check the ticket policies. Currently, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you purchase a ticket, it may be possible to modify it to different dates if those dates are available. If the new ticket dates are more expensive, you may need to pay for the difference and if the tickets are cheaper, you would not receive a refund for the difference in price. For updates on ticket policies, please check the
theme park tickets updates. And, I always suggest that you call 407-939-7679 to speak to a Cast Member if you have special circumstances or more specific questions.
If you have tickets included as part of a vacation package, review the cancellation
Terms and Conditions. With a vacation package, we have been able to get our deposit refunded as long as we cancelled prior to a certain date. If you decide that you do not need a resort hotel, cancel the vacation package and purchase the tickets separately. Just keep checking for
theme park ticket availability and
Disney Park Pass system availability. Finally, if you cancel a vacation package and expect a refund of your deposit, just be aware that the refund may take a few days to process.
For the moment though, let us hope that your niece can join you on the trip. Vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort with extended family are amazing. Several years ago, my girls, mom, and I traveled with my mom's older sister, her daughter (my cousin) and my cousin's daughter. We still talk about the fun we had on that trip. Time goes by so quickly and those memories are priceless.
Addison, your planning warms my heart and I am sure your niece is dancing about the possible trip! Check the
operational updates to get ready for your next
Incredible Disney adventure!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
