Hey there, Kevin, and welcome to planDisney! By looking at your arrival date, I can tell that you know how to start spring off right by heading off to
Walt Disney World. But is there ever a bad season to visit the Mouse’s House? Let’s get you all set for your upcoming visit.
In my opinion, the Walt Disney World website is the quickest and easiest way to secure your
Theme Park Ticket purchase. You will have the option to choose between 1-Park Per Day tickets or tickets with the
Park Hopper Option. This is decision is all yours to make! No pressure at all. However, I recommend getting 1-Park Per Day tickets when purchasing 4-day or longer tickets and adding the Park Hopper Option if your tickets will be shorter. With 4-day tickets, you get to visit each Theme Park and spend an entire day exploring. My family prefers this slower approach to experiencing the Theme Parks. We also travel with young kids, and navigating multiple parks with toddlers can put a dent in that Walt Disney World happiness! Just a few things to consider when determining which tickets you decide to grab. The
Disney Genie+ Service can be added to your ticket purchase as you walk through the prompts. Genie + is the replacement for Disney's previous Fastpass+ system.
Unfortunately, Walt Disney World is not currently offering the Disney Dining Plan. While there are no package options available that include meals, you can use a little ingenuity to create your own! My family likes to use
Disney Gift Cards to manage our in-park spending and budget for bigger meals during our Disney Vacation. We will determine how much our meals will tentatively cost us by viewing the restaurant menus and setting aside that amount on a Disney Gift Card. This is also an area where we like to hit up the grandparents to see how much they really love their grandchildren. We ask them to send Gift Card funds for the kids’ meals if they want them to enjoy the vacation. Some may say it’s a bit extreme, but it’s worked out well for us so far!
I hope this helps, Kevin! No matter which route you choose, soon you’ll be on your vacation to Walt Disney World! What’s better than that?
Until Next Time,
PG
