Hi Ed!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your ticketing question. I'm so happy to hear you're in the planning stages of a Walt Disney World Resort visit, and are considering your
theme park ticket options.
If you purchase a standard single day theme park ticket, and decide to upgrade and add the
Park Hopper option, you are absolutely able to upgrade, even as late as the day you're using the ticket.
There are two easy ways to upgrade your ticket:
1) With a quick visit to
Guest Relations before you enter the theme park, a Cast Member can upgrade your ticket for you. You can find Guest Relations locations right outside the entrances to all four theme parks.
2) Guests have the ability to upgrade their tickets through the
My Disney Experience Mobile app. When you open the app, choose the menu option in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Select the "Tickets and Passes" icon, and you'll be taken to a list of the theme park tickets associated with your account. Select the ticket you'd like to upgrade, and you'll see an option to "Change Ticket". You'll then be able to change the Ticket Type and add the Park Hopper Option. Simply pay for the upgrade, and you're all set to hop!
Something to remember when using Park Hopper tickets during Walt Disney World's
phased reopening: Guests will need a
Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the first park they'd like to visit. The Guest
must physically enter that park by scanning a
MagicBand, theme park ticket, or using
Disney's MagicMobile service at the point of entry, before hopping to a second (or third, or fourth) theme park after 2pm.
I hope this helps! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you think of any other questions before your vacation!
