Welcome to planDisney, Sharon!
I see your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is next month – hurray! Just today I was watching some videos from the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and getting so excited for my own visit. Spring is such a great time to be at Walt Disney World, and you’re going to love the beautiful weather, gorgeous Florida skies, and all the pastel and floral treats and décor.
I almost always purchase the Resort Refillable Mug during my family’s Disney vacations. I love collecting all the designs, and they make such fun souvenirs. I was just drinking out of my Vampire Mickey one from a few Halloweens ago and enjoying the memories from that visit. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
I’m happy to walk you through how the Resort Refillable Mugs currently work. You may purchase a mug at select
Walt Disney World Resort hotel Quick Service dining locations. You’ll pay one price for the mug and all-you-care-to-enjoy refills for the length of your visit; that price is currently $19.99 per mug for the standard plastic mug and $29.99 for the stainless steel mug that is available in select locations (pricing is subject to change). Once you purchase yours, it can be refilled at Quick Service dining locations at resort hotels only - it does not work in the theme parks or Disney Springs. For health and safety reasons, Guests may not currently use the self-service beverage islands; instead, a Cast Member will be stationed there and will provide the beverage of your choice in a disposable cup, which you can pour into your mug or drink as-is. Eligible beverages are the fountain drinks found in those beverage islands, as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Since we’re talking drinks, I have to recommend my very favorite seasonal beverage: the
Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade at EPCOT. This tart and refreshing drink is a popular part of the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and while there are so many tasty treats and drinks at the festival, this one keeps me coming back for more. Just a few hours ago my daughter asked, “is there a limit on how many of those you can buy?” She’s already making her plans!
Cheers to your upcoming visit, Sharon! Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
