Hi Richard, and welcome to planDisney! I love
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. The tasty food, specialty drinks, and fun atmosphere make it a great place to spend some time, and the souvenir mugs are undoubtedly unique.
Richard, as you mentioned, the
Disneyland Resort Rules state that glass containers (excluding small containers like baby food jars) are prohibited – these items would not be allowed through security. I wouldn't recommend bringing a glass cup, mug, or tumbler through security, even if you purchased it at the hotel. It would be better to store it in your car (if you drove to the Resort), or purchase it as you leave. That way, you don't have to worry about a potential issue.
That said, I am not certain of the material each mug is made from, but past souvenir mugs I've seen from Trader Sam's were ceramic. While ceramic is typically sturdier than glass, it's still a good idea to store it or purchase it at the end of your day so you don't need to carry it around or risk it getting damaged.
Richard, have you heard that Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar will
offer breakfast starting May 16, 2025? You'll be able to enjoy ube-stuffed French toast, tropical pancakes, and other delicious items. If you're around later in the day, grab a Dole Whip from the patio bar.
The Disneyland Hotel also has the
Broken Spell Lounge, which is located near Goofy's Kitchen. I just recently spent some time there, and it was an enchanting place to connect with my pals and enjoy small bites. You might want to check it out next time you visit!
Richard, I wish you a magical visit filled with unforgettable memories (and maybe a souvenir or two)! If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
