We ship boxes of items to ourselves at our Disney Resorts on almost every trip; it's very easy! Simply get the address of your particular resort on
Walt Disney World's website (you can find each resort's address on its own webpage, to the right of the screen.) Include the name of the resort, the address and include your own name, also indicating that you're a Guest, with the dates of your stay. The resort will be happy to hold onto the package for you until your arrival. Just check with the Cast Member at check-in to see if your boxes have arrived. On our last stay, our shipped boxes were waiting in our room at check-in; how convenient is that?
Now, regarding having items shipped from stores, it is possible, but be very careful about doing so. As you know from prior experience, shipping delays sometimes happen when ordering items via internet or telephone, and this would be more difficult for you to track if you were on vacation. More importantly, if the item is delayed, it could indeed arrive after you've checked out. Nevertheless, you can address such a shipment as explained above, too.
