Hi, I am going to purchase a Socal passport. I want my first day to be on a black out date. I was told that our first day can be on any day we choose, even if it's a black out date. Is this correct? Thank you!

Hi, Maria, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You’ve picked an amazing time to become an Annual Passholder! There are so many exciting experiences coming to the Disneyland Resort this year – from the opening of The Tropical Hideaway, to the Lunar New Year celebration, to the highly-anticipated opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this summer.

The Disney Southern California Select Passport is currently available for purchase by Southern California residents living in ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. If this is you, congratulations! You can purchase this Passport in Full, or select the Monthly Payment Option for California Residents.

Though this pass does have weekend blockout dates, as long as you purchase your Annual Passport in person at one of the Disneyland Main Entrance Ticket Booths, or at a Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest Services desk, you are allowed park admission on the first day of your Passport purchase, even if it's blocked out by your Passport.

Magical tip: Be sure to link your Passport to your online Disney account! Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to easily view blockout dates and new Passholder offers and perks.

I hope this helps you as you begin your Annual Passholder journey at the Disneyland Resort!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 8, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
