Hey there, Heather! Welcome back to planDisney! It looks like you have some tentative plans to visit Walt Disney World later this year. It is undoubtedly a very unprecedented time for many families, so it is a good idea to make backup plans and keep your options open. Walt Disney World realizes that many Guests will need to change plans, and so they have adopted some flexible policies to help everyone return to the magic on their own timetable.
For example, from now until the end of the year, there will be no Disney-imposed cancellation fees for vacation packages. Also, all
Park Tickets should now have an extended expiration date of late fall 2021. If you log into your
My Disney Experience account and your Tickets are linked there, you should see this change reflected. As long as your tickets remain unused, you should have no problem whatsoever, no matter what may come! If you would rather receive a refund or are concerned that you will not pay a visit by late fall, simply call
Disney Ticket Services, where one of the friendly Cast Members will be happy to help you pursue other options!
Meanwhile, check out the
Experience Updates pages where you can find all the details and most current information on the phased reopening of the Disney Parks. Heather, I hope that you can take that next Walt Disney World vacation at a time that is best for your family. Please know that we are always here for you and happy to answer any questions that may come up during your planning process!
Wishing you many magical moments,
Clara
