How do I purchase a single ticket to the magic kingdom

    Hiya Ian!

Welcome to planDisney! Planning a trip to Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do. It's one of my family's favorite places to be and even one day can be so much fun!

I can understand wanting to just purchase a ticket for one day to explore Magic Kingdom Park but right now the only ticket options available to those who live in the United Kingdom are 7-day and 14-day tickets. Your only option at this time is to wait until you arrive in the United States to purchase a 1-day ticket. If you are visiting before January 9, 2024, then you will also have to keep an eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability. Right now, the entire year looks good to go but availability changes the closer you get to your trip date. Beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will not be required for tickets that have a date assigned to them. A one-day date-based ticket will not need a theme park reservation at that point.

Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite theme park in Walt Disney World and I consider walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and catching my first glimpse of Cinderella Castle to be one of the best things ever. If you are going to spend one day in Magic Kingdom Park and want to enjoy as many attractions as possible I recommend purchasing Genie+ before 7 am of your Park day. Then at 7 am, you can start booking your first Lightning Lane for the day and can keep booking throughout the day after you use one or until your booking time comes up. You can see when your booking time is right on the My Disney Experience app at the top of the Genie+ page. I recommend setting an alarm on your phone so you don't miss your next booking window. You will find your day to be a breeze as you could minimize your wait time by quite a bit. Included with your ticket is a chance to get on the Virtual Queue to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. You have a chance at 7 am and then if that doesn't work another chance at 1 pm to snap a boarding group through your My Disney Experience app.

I hope this helps and you have a chance to grab that one-day Park ticket when you arrive. Feel free to let us know if you have any more questions.

    Happy Planning!
