Hi Arliene!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!
Oh Boy! It sounds like you're gearing up to take the whole family to Mickey's house, Arliene! I know your crew is going to have the best time. And I like that you're planning ahead by thinking of getting the
Disney Rewards Visa card! Did you know that this card will not only come with
perks like reward dollars related to money spent on big purchases but also discounts on
shopping and Disney dining too? Applicants apply for this card just like any other credit card with the approval based on their background, not how much they've spent at Disney recently. So the good news is if you apply and are approved, you can use your new card to purchase your park tickets; not only might that trigger a bonus
reward, but you might even get a discount depending on which items you book!
You reached out to us just in time, Arliene, as you still have a bit of time before you need to finalize all of your Disneyland vacation plans. If you haven't already, I would book a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel room soon; you can always use one form of payment to hold the booking now, and then call to switch the final balance to another card later. (*hint hint*) Remember that
Dining Reservations can be made 60 days in advance of each Disney day. Lastly, because Disneyland Theme Park Admission tickets now need to be accompanied by a
Park Pass Reservation, which notes which theme park you'd like to visit which of your Disney days, you'll want to make this purchase as soon as you can. According to the
Park Pass Reservation Calendar, your vacation window looks okay right now, but availability is subject to change at a moment's notice. So it's best that if you really want to apply for the Disney Rewards Visa to do so sooner rather than later.
I hope that this helped to clEAR things up a bit, Arliene! Be sure to follow the
