I purchase several of my family members the California 3 day passes. I forgot to reserve April 26th as one of the days we were all going. Is there any way to pay the delta of the California pass to be able to join my family that day for me and my wife?

    Hi John,

It sounds like you are planning a magical visit with family this weekend to the Disneyland Resort! I'm so glad to hear you've been able to take advantage of the SoCal Resident Ticket offer. I know that everyone has been eager to use the final days of their tickets before they expire on May 15th, and reservations are limited in these last few weeks. Let's see what we can uncover together in helping you find a path to the magic.

When it comes to upgrading your ticket to a regular theme park ticket, a Cast Member confirmed to me that this may be an option, but only within 13 days of first use. Essentially, if you went to the parks today using the ticket for the first time, you would have 13 days to decide if you'd like to upgrade it to a standard theme park ticket. I'm hoping there's a chance you may still be within this window! The Cast Member said changes of this type would need to be done in person at the Main Entrance ticket booth. As of this writing this answer, I can see that April 26th is currently open for reservations to both Disneyland and California Adventure for standard theme park ticket holders. I understand you are planning a day for a big group and waiting to arrive in person, the morning of your visit, to try to change your ticket may feel a bit too uncertain. In that case, I recommend giving the Guest Services team a call and speaking with them directly. They will be able to see into your account and answer any specific questions you may have.

I will say that Guests are always changing their plans, making and canceling new theme park reservations. My number one piece of advice if reservations are not available for a particular day, keep checking! This will take some faith, trust, pixie dust, and patience, but it may clear a path for you to join your family this weekend. You can continue to check theme park reservation availability on the website or even in the Disneyland mobile app if you head to the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Make a Park Reservation".

John, I know this may not have been the news you were hoping to hear, but I do hope it's been helpful in your planning. I'm going to send some happy thoughts your way in the hopes that the reservation calendar opens up for you, and you are on your way to the Happiest Place on Earth in just a few short days.

If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney.
