Can we purchase reserved seating and/or viewing area for the Electrical Parade at Disneyland without purchasing the dinner option? If not, what is the best way to secure the reservation so we can see the early parade showing?

    Greetings Patricia,
At this time, the only way to enjoy access to a preferred viewing area for the Main Street Electrical Parade is through a Main Street Electrical Parade dining package.
This option is fantastic because you get to enjoy two wonderful offerings: dinner and the classic Main Street Electrical Parade which will dim its lights on August 20!
The Blue Bayou Restaurant option is excellent with exquisite menu offerings.
The On-the-Go Dining Package at Aladdin's Oasis is also a great option and you save a few dollars with this package.
The way it works is, you need to make your Main Street Electrical Parade dining package reservations in advance. You can either do this online or by calling (714) 781-DINE.
When you arrive at the Disneyland Park and head to the restaurant for your reservation, you will pay for your meal, at which point your server will hand you a voucher for each person who purchased a dining package in your party. This voucher will grant you access to the preferred viewing area for the parade. If you dine at Aladdin's Oasis, the preferred viewing area is located near "it's a small world". If you purchase the Blue Bayou option, the preferred viewing area is located in front of the train station on Main Street, U.S.A.
Now, my only other recommendation for a good seat during the parade is to reserve a spot way in advance.
Many guests, especially during these busy days of summer, start reserving their spaces two hours in advance.
I'm not sure if you'd want to do that but that's what many folks do and they get an excellent view of the Magical presentation.
    I hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Have fun at the Disneyland Resort!
