If we purchase points say on the 1st May 2025 (150) and our Use Year is September - would we get another 150 in September 2025 or would we have to wait until September 2026?

    Welcome Home, Stuart!

And a great big beautiful welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are thinking of maximizing the magic of your vacations by joining Disney Vacation Club, or perhaps you are adding an "addition" to your home away from home by expanding your Membership. As a Member for the last 22 years, Disney Vacation Club has been the best investment our family has made, as it has afforded us dream vacations year after year that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

Stuart, I double-checked with the Disney Vacation Club Sales Team. They said that if you complete your purchase of 150 Vacation Points in May, and your Use Year is September, you would receive back-dated Vacation Points from September 2024 upon your closing date in May.  When you reach your 2025 Use Year, which would be on September 1, 2025, you would then receive 150 Vacation Points for 2025.  Every September 1 thereafter, you would be allotted your Vacation Points for that Use Year (i.e., in September 2026, you receive your 2026 Vacation Points, and so on.)

When you make your purchase, your Sales Manager will share with you all of the information you need to know about your Use Year for your specific contract. It is important to note this as, in order to Bank Points you won't be using in your Use Year, you have to do that by the Banking Deadlines, or they have to be used by the end of your Use Year. Any Vacation Points that are not used or Banked by the end of your Use Year are forfeited.  I like to put a date on my calendar a month or so before the Banking Deadline so I remember to Bank any unused Vacation Points.

I hope this helps you, Stuart! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
