Hiya Matthew,
Welcome to planDisney! I love that it is the gift that keeps on giving magic throughout the year with so many
perks and special discounts on dining, merchandise, and so much more. Since this is the season of giving, an Annual Pass sounds like the perfect gift to give yourself.
To answer your question, yes, you can use a
Disney Gift Card to pay for your initial down payment and the first month’s payment. I recommend doing so in person at Guest Relations or over the phone with a Cast Member at 407-560-7277. They can help you process your payments using your Disney Gift Card and set up your billing for the rest of your payments. Remember that the monthly payment program (and the ability to purchase a Disney Pixie Dust Pass) is only available to Florida Residents, so you will need to verify your residency to activate and use your Annual Pass.
Before I let you go, I have one tip about Disney Gift Cards. Since they are my preferred payment method for all things Disney, I always have many of them hanging around my house in various smaller denominations. Trying to pay for items such as Theme Park tickets with five $50 gift cards can be a pain, so I recommend combining them onto one card first. Once combined, you can use just one singular card for all of your purchases rather than trying to remember which Disney Gift Card has what balance.
I hope this was helpful, Matthew. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
