I want to purchase the pixie annual pass. I assume I won't be able to upgrade to a pirate pass until they resume sale of them right? Also, what's the cost of upgrading? Just the difference in price or?

Hey there, Dulce, and welcome to planDisney! It’s so great to have you stop by with your question. Although, I must admit that responding to Annual Pass questions is difficult. I'm still coping with the Annual Pass pause for non-Florida residents, especially when Alabama is basically Florida!

Dulce, Walt Disney World has temporarily paused Annual Pass sales for certain Annual Pass tiers. However, the Disney Pixie Dust Annual Pass is currently available for purchase but only to Florida residents. If the Annual Pass program returns with the same provisions it previously had, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your Annual Pass selection at any time! If the Pirate Pass is still available when sales resume, you can definitely upgrade to the higher tier by simply paying the cost difference between the passes.

No matter what you decide, now is the perfect time to snag your Annual Pass and head to the Theme Parks! After all, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind just launched this weekend, and you do not want to put off experiencing this attraction!

I hope this helps, Dulce! Let me know if you have more questions while planning your vacation.

You’ve got a friend in me,
