Welcome to planDisney, Suzanne! A
Disney Gift Card is a very thoughtful gift for your kids. There are many things in the
shops that they may like to commemorate their magical vacation onboard Disney Cruise Line, such as journals, plush toys, dolls, and apparel.
While I know that some international Guests cannot access every Disney website, I suggest checking
The Disney Store or the
Disney Gift Card website to determine if the shipping of physical gift cards is possible to Australia. If not, a Disney eGift Card can be purchased with a valid email address and printed to provide as a gift. If they receive multiple gift cards, they can be combined into one using the Disney Gift Card website.
A third option is for your family members to purchase Onboard Credit as a gift. All purchases on Disney Cruise Line ships are charged to your
stateroom folio, so a gift card cannot be used in the shops. With this option, you will not need to worry about visiting Guest Services to add a gift card to your account. The credit will be there and available to use once you step onto your ship! There will be a notecard in the stateroom stating your kids have onboard credit, but the receipt can be printed out and handed to them when it's time to exchange gifts.
In order to purchase Onboard Credit, they will need full names as they appear on your cruise reservation and departure date to enter on the
Gifts and Amenities webpage. This is how the purchase will be linked to your reservation. Under"Shop by Category", they will find Onboard Credit and can enter the dollar amount and the full names of who to send the credit. Major credit cards and Disney Visa Credit Cards are acceptable forms of payment.
Suzanne, I hope this is helpful for you and your family members. If you have any other questions about Onboard Credit or other Disney planning topics,
planDisney is here to help!
Adventure is out there!
