Hey there, hi there, Mary! Welcome to planDisney. Oh boy! I am so excited for you to be able to share the magic of Disneyland Resort with your son and husband on their first trip!
I think you are doing some very smart planning for your son and husband's first trip by making sure you have plenty of memories to look back on.
Disney PhotoPass service is definitely something you will want to look into. As a mom myself, I am always the one snapping pictures of everyone else in the family. Disney PhotoPass will make sure you are in those photos too! With this service, you'll be able to get photos from participating attractions as well as from all the fabulous PhotoPass photographers in the parks.
There is a Disney PhotoPass+ One Day option that you will be able to download the digital images of all your photos for the day. You can purchase this at the PhotoPass Service Newstand area that is just left of the Disneyland Park entrance gates. However, I suggest just purchasing
Disney Genie+ service for at least one person because that also includes unlimited digital downloads of your PhotoPass photos throughout your day for basically the same price.
Once you purchase one of these options, you can access your unique PhotoPass code by going into the
Disneyland app, clicking on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right corner of the screen, and then clicking on the "Photos" option. From there you will click on "Link Photos" and then choose "Show PhotoPass Code". This is the code you will show the photographer when they take your picture. You will click "Link Attraction Photo" when you want to link an attraction photo and then type in the attraction ID that will be on the monitor of your photo.
Mary, I'm so thankful you stopped by with this question and I hope you get so many great photos for the memory book. Be sure to ask the photographer if they have any Magic Shots! See you real soon!
