HI Kevin,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to send us your question about Theme Park Tickets and expiry dates. I am happy to see that you are ready to head back to Walt Disney World Resort, it is always a good idea to make sure you are able to visit prior to purchasing your Theme Park Tickets.
Theme Park Tickets are non-refundable, but they do retain their value if not used prior to the expiry date. In other words, if you purchase Theme Park Tickets and for some reason are unable to visit you will be able to use the value of your wholly unused Theme Park Tickets toward the purchase of new Theme Park Tickets when you are able to visit.
Another option for you to consider is booking a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package that includes both Theme Park Tickets as well as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay. After the initial deposit has been received you will be able to make payments toward your balance owing up until the pay in full date. If for some reason you need to cancel, you will be refunded the full amount provided it is before the pay in full date. You could also change the date of your reservation or simply cancel, whatever works best for you.
I hope this information is useful, Kevin. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us here at
planDisney again, we are always happy to help.
~Stephanie
