Hi Heather,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am so happy to hEAR that you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Yes, you will need valid theme park admission to make those Disney Park Pass system reservations, so, if you do not have an Annual Pass, you will need to purchase
theme park tickets.
Before purchasing theme park tickets, check the
theme park availability calendar for the dates of your visit. If you do not yet have a
My Disney Experience account, you will need to create one and then
link those tickets. If there are others traveling with you, you will need to make sure they are connected through or listed in your
My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience.
If folks traveling with you already have a My Disney Experience account, you can send them an invitation to connect through your My Family and Friends List. If they do not have their own accounts, you can create profiles for them in your My Family & Friends List and then you can assign tickets to them in your account. Once all of your tickets are linked and assigned, you can then make
Disney Park Pass system reservations.
As you continue to plan, also keep an eye on the operational updates since policies and procedures could change. If you purchase theme park tickets with the Park Hopper® Option, be sure to review the
details related to park hopping. Make sure that you have downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Keep an eye on the mobile app for push notifications regarding park hopping availability during your visit.
Heather, I hope this helps! My family had an AMAZING time on our most recent trip and I trust you will have an equally
Incredible visit!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
