If we purchase park tickets for the Magic Kingdom only, can we reserve a room in a Disney resort in a different park such as Animal Kingdom without purchasing separate park tickets for that park?

Hi Bethany! Wow! That is such a great question that you brought to planDisney!

While there are Disney Resort Hotels located in proximity to all four of the Disney Parks, they are not linked to specific parks. So that means you can stay in any hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection and visit any of the four Disney Parks that you want to experience during your vacation!

For example, if you are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, that hotel is not “linked” to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, it just happens to be in close proximity to the park. You can go to any of the four parks as long as you have a valid theme park ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation for that park! As another example, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort are all in proximity to Magic Kingdom Park! If you stay at any of those resorts, you can still go to any of the four Disney Parks! You can explore all of the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection! There are hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories!

Bethany, I hope that information is helpful as you continue dreaming of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Feel free to come back to planDisney!
