    If I purchase a park ticket and then want to by an annual pass, can the cost of the ticket but prior , be used towards the annual pass? We are also resident of Florida

    Hello and welcome to planDisney, Marjorie! I'm excited to see that you may be considering becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. I've been one for years now, Marjorie and can say with confidence it is well worth the initial investment. 

    In most cases, Marjorie, you can apply the value of an unused and unexpired Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket toward a Walt Disney World Annual Pass purchase. If you'd like to do this over the phone before your next Walt Disney World visit, you can call 407-WDW-PASS and a Cast Member will be more than happy to assist you with this. If you'd like to wait until you are at Walt Disney World, you can do this in person at any of the theme park ticket windows or at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Keep in mind, some tickets like water park tickets, complimentary theme park tickets and special event tickets are not eligible to be upgraded. 

    Majorie, besides visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks pretty much whenever you'd like, there are some other really great perks to being a Walt Disney World Passholder. Right now, passholders are receiving 20% off of merchandise and food at most Walt Disney World stores and restaurants. Also, one of my favorite benefits has to be the complimentary theme park parking. Since I drive myself to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, this really saves me a lot of money.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
