If i purchase a park hopper can i get in two parks even though it shows only one park avaiable?

Hey there, Troy! Welcome to planDisney! Hold on to your EARS, because your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only eight days away! How exciting is that? I bet you can practically hear the whoosh from Test Track now!

It sounds like you're planning a park-hopping adventure. One of the amazing things about visiting Walt Disney World is that it can be so many different vacations at once. You can go from gazing at Cinderella Castle, to riding through the savanna on a safari, to traversing a distant galaxy, to exploring different cultures - all in the same day! Adding the Park Hopper Option to your Walt Disney World ticket does allow you to visit more than one theme park per day. You'll only need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you plan to visit, and then you can hop to any of the other parks even if they're showing no reservations available.

Disney does tell us that park hopping can be limited if parks reach capacity in the afternoon, but as of now, they haven't had to do so. It's easy to verify that park hopping will be allowed on any given day by opening up the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Just look for the "Park Hours" listings, and you'll see Park Hopping Hours posted there as well. If for some reason any of the parks aren't open for hopping, that's where you'll find it. You can also ask the nearest Cast Member for the status of park hopping for that day.

I hope this helps you have a magical time at ALL of the theme parks, Troy! And if you have any more questions, please stop by and see us again. We're always here to help!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
