Greetings, Didi! Welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you’re planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! I’m happy to help you plan your visit.
Didi, I see you are well-versed in
ticket options! The
One Park Per Day ticket means exactly that, you are purchasing a ticket to visit either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. The
Park Hopper ticket will give you the option to visit both parks in one day, which is easy to do because they are so close together. You’ll have to select the park where you'd like to start, then after 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park and keep moving back and forth as much as you want for the rest of the day.
Both types of tickets can be purchased on the
Disneyland Resort website, under the Parks & Tickets tab. Since you want to purchase two different ticket types, you can do it in two separate transactions, using your Disneyland account.
I suggest checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar before purchasing your tickets, to check if your desired dates are available.
At the time you purchase your ticket, you can opt to add
Disney Genie+, which saved my family hours of time waiting in queues on our last visit. With Disney Genie+ you can access
Lightning Lanes for many attractions, thereby saving time as those queues move significantly faster. But if you don’t want to add it at time of ticket purchase, no worries – the cosmic power of Disney Genie+ lets you add it to your day after you enter the theme park, via the
Disneyland mobile app.
Didi, I wish you a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah day. Magic awaits you!
