Hey Howdy Hey, Kelly!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Can you believe that you're less than one month away from the beginning of your magical vacation? As someone who loves to enjoy her favorite attractions, restaurants, and nighttime spectaculars multiple times each vacation, I never visit The Most Magical Place on Earth without adding the
Park Hopper option to my theme park ticket. While I will always recommend that fellow Guests purchase Park Hopper tickets, it is important to note that this option must be added to a ticket for its entire length. This means that, unfortunately, even if you were only to use this benefit for one day of your vacation, you would still need to purchase the option for the entire length of your ticket.
Even though I am firmly on 'Team Park Hop', I understand that every family's vacation style differs, so if you truly only plan to park hop once during your vacation, I suggest foregoing the Park Hopper Option and putting those funds towards
Disney Genie+ service, individual Lightning Lanes,
character dining experience, or entry to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. I know that many people only hope to park hop on the day they plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park because it has an earlier closing time than other theme parks (so that the lion can sleep tonight). If this is the case for you, since you're visiting during the warm summer months you'll likely enjoy using the extra free time for an evening dip in your Disney Resort hotel pool after you leave Disney's Animal Kingdom. Alternatively, you could head to
Disney Springs or
Disney's BoardWalk for evening shopping, dining, or simply relaxing in a magical environment, no theme park ticket required!
Although this is likely not the answer you were hoping to receive regarding your ticket, Kelly, I do hope I provided some helpful information and alternatives for you as you plan. If you decide you would like to add the Park Hopper option to your ticket, you can do so in your My Disney Experience account. If you have any additional questions about the process or are in need of recommendations, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Hakuna Matata,
Lizzie
