Can we purchase Oogie Boogie bash tickets with Disney gift cards? And what time do the tickets go on sale to the general public? Are there any special sales for D23 members?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Rebekah. In just over a couple of months, the spooky season will arrive at the Disneyland Resort and a spell will be cast over Disney California Adventure Park. It's almost time for Oogie to boogie.

The news we have all been waiting for was finally shared on Disney Parks Blog last week. Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party will be available for sale next week. Ticket sales for the general public will open on June 27th and you can join the waiting room to purchase at approximately 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time. If you happen to be a Magic Key holder, you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before the general public. Ticket sales open (for a limited number of tickets) on June 25th for Inspire Key holders and June 26th for all other Magic Key holders. As far as we know, there are no special sale dates for D23 Members.

You can absolutely use a Disney Gift Card to purchase tickets for this spooktacular event. Keep in mind that you can only use one gift card at the site. If you have more than one gift card, I recommend transferring all balances to one card that you can use on the day of purchase. To do this, visit the Disney Gift Card site, click on "My Cards" and add all of your gift cards. Then use the "Transfer Funds To This Card" button to consolidate balances into one card.  One Disney Gift Card can hold a maximum value of up to $1,000. Be sure to do this before the tickets go on sale so you're ready to go.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite times to visit and this bash is one of my favorite after-hours events. I always look forward to seeing all of the creative costumes of other Guests. I also wonder which villains will be greeting us on the treat trails this year. This event is extremely popular and tickets have sold out for the past couple of years, so make sure you have your dates picked out and your payment ready to go.

I hope this has been helpful, Rebekah. I'll be sending pixie dust your way in the hopes that you're able to secure tickets for your desired dates with no problems next week. If you think of anything else that we can help with, please come back to visit us.
