Hey there, Chris! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I love chatting with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member!
Nothing is more fun than bringing family and friends along on a magical journey to one of the incredible
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Even though we are just a little family of three, we often book a Two-Bedroom Villa to bring a big group of family and friends on a fun-filled, pixie-dusted adventure. This definitely increases the need for Vacation Points, and although I would LOVE to simply add on more Points, for most of us, that isn't always an option. So, I completely understand your question and am happy to answer it today.
Unfortunately, you can only purchase up to 24
One-Time-Use Vacation Points per Use Year to complete your vacation booking. If you happen to have multiple contracts with different Use Years, you can purchase 24 One-Time-Use Points for each different Use Year or transfer Points from one contract to the other. If that is not the case, let's chat about some additional options.
First, you can
borrow up to 50 percent of the next Use Year's Points to book larger accommodations. If you have already done that and are still short on Vacation Points, I'd suggest doing a split stay with some nights booked on Vacation Points and some nights booked with cash. Right now, DVC offers a discount on cash stays in certain DVC Villas, so,
call Member Services to see what the current discounts are and to book your reservation. Then, you can still have the vacation of your dreams using your magical Membership and saving as much money as possible. More savings means more money for Disney snacks!
Chris, I hope that this was helpful, and I hope that the dream vacation that your heart is wishing for comes true! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions.
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
