Welcome to planDisney, Anna! How exciting that you're thinking of joining the Annual Passholder family at the Walt Disney World Resort; there's no better way to guarantee a year full of magic and memories! And as a Florida resident, you are eligible to consider a variety of
different types of annual passes to find one that works best for you!
Anna, in researching the terms and conditions of
upgrading your theme park ticket to an Annual Pass, a 1-day ticket is eligible to be upgraded on the day of use or before the day that you use the ticket; eligible tickets usually show the option to upgrade in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, or you are welcome to visit
Guest Relations at any theme park or the Concierge Desk at your Disney Resort hotel to upgrade your ticket in person. Unfortunately, if you plan to purchase a 1-day ticket for a date that is blocked out for the type of annual pass you would like, your ticket will not be eligible for an upgrade. I checked the
admission calendar for Annual Passholders and the only pass that is not blocked out on Thanksgiving Day is the Disney Incredi-Pass, so that would be the only option for your upgrade.
As you consider becoming an Annual Passholder, be sure to take a look at the many
benefits and discounts that come with being a Passholder! From complimentary parking to discounted special event tickets, dining, and merchandise, there are lots of ways to save on the magic as a Passholder. Don't forget to check out the
add-ons if you're also interested in using your Annual Pass for admission to the
Disney Water Parks or for capturing the magic of your many visits with
PhotoPass downloads!
Anna, I hope this is helpful! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I hope you enjoy the holiday magic that helps create lasting memories! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to
planDisney anytime and let us know! We hope to see you again real soon!
Happy Holidays,
Alison
