Welcome to planDisney, Rebekka! A one-day getaway to
Magic Kingdom Park sounds like a great Disney Day!
The Disney Parks are very popular, but they don’t typically reach capacity to the point where they need to stop allowing additional Guests to enter. The times that Magic Kingdom Park (and other Disney Parks) reach capacity usually occur around holidays such as the Fourth of July and some days during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Other than those days, Guests can (usually) plan on purchasing a park ticket on the “day of” their preferred park visit.
I always recommend purchasing park tickets in advance. I like having “peace of mind” that I already have my ticket when I arrive at the park. I also avoid the ticket sales window at the main park entrance. If I’m going to be waiting in a line, I’d rather it be for a ride or an attraction once I’m inside the park!
Rebekka, if you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park to find it has reached capacity, you could also choose one of the other three parks –
EPCOT,
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Again, you will likely be able to purchase a “day of” ticket for Magic Kingdom Park as long as you avoid those very popular holidays!
Dreams do come true!
