If I purchase a one day ticket, how do I link it to the date and park? Do i have to use my disney experience to do this? Can I just use that physical ticket to get into the park, or do I need to create a mobile ticket?

Welcome to planDisney, Jody! I'm honored to help a fellow Pennsylvanian plan their vacation to my "Happy Place!"

Once you have finished purchasing your theme park ticket, you don't have to link it, as it should do it automatically. To check and see if your ticket is linked to your account, open your My Disney Experience Mobile app and click on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner of your screen. Next, click "Tickets and Passes" to see if your theme park admission is listed. Then you can go directly to make your Park Pass Reservation. This is where you'll need to choose your desired park and date. You can check the Theme Park Reservation Availablity Calendar on the Walt Disney World website.

Sometimes guests like to pick up their physical Disney Theme Park Tickets. In that case, you can visit the 'Will Call' booth, where you must present the ticket confirmation number, your photo ID, and the original credit card used for the transaction, and they will issue you a plastic admission card. However, there is no need to have a physical ticket in hand if you have a MagicBand linked to your name in My Disney Experience.

You can also bypass Will Call if you use Disney MagicMobile, which offers most of the same features as a MagicBand. You can set it up right through your My Disney Experience Mobile app, which will create a pass you can add to your phone's digital wallet. The MagicMobile pass is now available for iPhone, Apple Watch, and Google Pay-enabled Android phones. My son uses this method to enter the parks and redeem his Lightning Lane entitlements. He simply puts his phone on the park entrance (or Lightning Lane) tap points, just like you do with a MagicBand. Easy peasy!

I hope this helps, Jody! Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
