Hello, Cheryl!
Welcome back to planDisney! I am glad that you sent us another question. It looks like you are cruising in October this year. My family sailed on the Disney Wish in October 2023, and we had the best time!
Halloween on the High Seas was in full swing on our cruise, which included Halloween activities, festive decor, and my kids' favorite, themed Disney Character meet and greets. Hocus Pocus is one of my family's favorite Halloween movies, and we were excited to see Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson sisters!
I spoke with Cast Member Samil who said that Guests are charged at the moment of purchase. Those funds will be placed in your Onboard Account. Any charges made during your voyage will be deducted from your Onboard Credit before using your credit card. Any unspent funds at the end of your cruise will be refunded to the original form of payment. If you use a
Disney Gift Card, make sure to keep it in case a refund is applied.
To purchase Onboard Credit before your cruise, log into your MyDisney account on the
Disney Cruise Line website. Under "Already Booked", select
"Onboard Gifts". Enter your reservation information and choose "Onboard Credit" under "Shop by Category". Here you can enter your payment information, including Disney Gift Cards. I love using Disney Gift Cards to help me stick to a budget on my Disney vacations! You can also monitor your expenses on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while aboard the ship.
Cheryl, I hope your Disney Cruise is filled with laughter and fun! If you have other questions, please send them our way.
Happy sailing!
Jen
