Hi Laura, and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for your question about the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is exciting, and I'm here to help you get all the information you need.
Unfortunately, the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is nonrefundable. If you cancel or modify your Resort hotel reservation after purchasing the pass, your selected attractions and arrival windows might be canceled based on eligibility rules. However, according to the
Frequently Asked Questions section of the Lightning Lane website, when you become eligible to make selections again, you can use the
My Disney Experience app to choose available Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows for the pass you previously purchased. This essentially means your purchase will be credited, though policies are subject to change.
If you haven't already, you should consider purchasing a
Travel Protection Plan for your upcoming trip. This insurance can be added anytime before the final payment and covers trip cancellation/interruption, trip delay, baggage loss, travel accident, and rental car damage (to name a few). Review the policy's state-specific terms, conditions, and exclusions carefully. Even if the Lightning Lane Multi Pass cost isn’t covered, you’ll have peace of mind knowing major expenses may be refunded.
I hope this helps, Laura.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions or would like some recommendations on how to enjoy your stay. I’d happily share my tips and suggestions to make your visit to The Most Magical Place On Earth unforgettable.
See you real soon,
Brent
