I want to purchase military salute tickets but my husband isn’t coming with us to Disney. Can I present my ID and a photo of his CAC card??

    Welcome to planDisney, Danielle!

I’ll be more than happy to be your Skipper today and cruise towards your answer. Let me first begin with a huge thank you to your husband for his service, “Thank You!”.  We truly appreciate all he does. I would also like to thank you too! As a military spouse myself, I understand everything your family goes through.

There have been multiple occasions where I have used the Military Salute tickets without my husband being present. All that you’ll need, to purchase and activate these tickets, is your military ID. As a spouse with a military ID, you are eligible to enjoy this offer too.

Depending on how long you will be visiting, I recommend taking a look at the US Military Member room savings as well. My family has also used this discount during our visits. We are more of a "in the parks" family, so we usually book our room at a Value Resort. My family's current favorite is All-Star Movies Resort. I think it's because of the Toy Story section. They are huge fans and the larger than life size characters tend to captivate them.

As you continue to plan, I also recommend looking at the many different dining locations available. My family and I recently booked a dinner at Artist Point and it was truly enchanting. We dressed up a bit for this reservation and ended up taking the water taxi back to Magic Kingdom in time for the fireworks. The whole evening was straight from a fairytale. I wish I could share the photos from that night with you!

Speaking of photos, we also ended up purchasing Memory Maker, with the military discount, for that trip. This made the photos even better! If photos are your thing, I highly recommend taking advantage of the Military offer for Memory Maker as well. It's the easiest way to include everyone in the photo.

Danielle, I hope this helps answer your question! If anything else comes to mind, we’re more than happy to help.

Thanks again for your family’s service and have a magical visit.
