Hiya, Cindy!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Memory Maker question. Memory Maker is honestly one of my favorite splurges at Walt Disney World! My kids will tell you that every single time we visit, I make them stop for another picture in front of Cinderella Castle. I can already hear them saying, “Mom, another one?” But I know one day I will be so thankful to have all of those photos.
Plus, it is so nice to have a
Disney PhotoPass photographer take the picture so the entire family can be in it. Even Mom! I am usually the one behind the camera, so having photos where I am actually part of the memory is priceless.
So, Cindy, let’s zoom right into your question. You will be happy to know that if your son experiences an attraction without you, his ride photo should still appear in your account as long as you are connected through your
Family & Friends list in the
My Disney Experience app.
Memory Maker allows you to download photos and videos from up to
25 members of your Family & Friends list who share photos taken during your Memory Maker window. If you are traveling with a larger group, be sure everyone is linked before your trip. That way, no magical moment gets left out of the picture!
Cindy, if you would like to take your family photos one step further, I also highly recommend checking out
Capture Your Moment. These private Disney PhotoPass sessions are available in each of the theme parks and are a wonderful way to capture extra-special memories.
My family booked a session in
Magic Kingdom, and our photographer was incredible. We were wearing matching red-and-white striped Mickey outfits, and he came up with the idea of creating a Dapper Dans-inspired photo shoot right down the middle of Main Street. Those are still some of my favorite family photos we have ever taken. Talk about picture-perfect!
Cindy, I hope this helps answer your question and puts your plans into focus. Please stop by and see us again if you have any additional questions.
See you real soon!
Christina
